Pure acetone works best. Nail polish remover with acetone is too diluted to work effectively, though it will work if you leave your nails soak for long enough. Acetone is acetone regardless of where you get it. The pure acetone you buy in beauty supply stores is the same acetone sold in places like Lowes or Home Depot.Anyone know a way to take off acrylic like soaking it in nail polish remover or what cuz i dont want2 crack it?
lol I'm in your boat girlie! Get some nail polish with ACETONE in it, it will say something like ';for natural nails'; on the bottle. It will take a little longer but it works. If you can get to your local hardware store or even wal-mart and you are over 18 you can get strait acetone solvent and it will take them off.
Regular nail polish remover doesn't do a great job. Go to a beauty supply store and get 100% pure acetone. Put it in a glass bowl (not plastic it could burn through) and soak. I just did it a few weeks ago and it took me over 1 1/2 hours, but my nails were great underneath.
Soak them in pure acetone for about 20 minutes...no less, because when they come out and arent ready, they immediately start drying again, but sometimes more if they don't come off easily after 20 minutes.

You can find pure acetone at the drugstore
